Parisian stationery house Papier Tigre has officially rolled out its limited-edition Japan Inspired Collection, reimagining iconic Japanese cultural motifs through the brand’s signature bold, graphic perspective. True to the studio's "once-in-a-lifetime" seasonal philosophy, the limited-run capsule will not see additional printings once the initial batch sells out. Distributed throughout Japan via Quo Vadis Japan (クオバディス・ジャパン), the drop brings together an eco-conscious lineup of notebooks, greeting cards, and a sleek new erasable metal ballpoint pen series.
The Power of the Paper Tiger: A Parisian Design Ethos
French lifestyle and stationery house Papier Tigre has long held an intimate creative connection with Japan, often treating Japanese urban rhythm and folk symbolism as a second home for its bold geometric aesthetic. Distributed domestically via Quo Vadis Japan, the Paris-based brand launched its latest project on September 19, 2026: the Japan Inspired Collection, arriving alongside the brand-new erasable metal KOREKTOR PEN series.

Releasing alongside Papier Tigre's Japan inspired collection will be the KOREKTOR PENs
When founders Maxime Brenon and Julien Crespel launched Papier Tigre in Paris back in 2012, they set out with a straightforward mission: shake up conventional, dreary office supplies and inject a touch of accessible luxury into everyday routines.
The name itself captures that guiding philosophy. On its own, paper (papier) is ephemeral and easily torn. But layered with bold graphic identity, dynamic color blocking, and thoughtful structure, it transforms into something commanding and enduring, represented by the tiger (tigre), a symbol of quiet strength.

From the strong belief in the "power of design," Papier Tigre's design adds strength into something that may seem fragile, like paper
That design language found a natural second home across the Pacific. Ever since establishing a footprint in Tokyo, Papier Tigre (パピエ ティグル) has built a dedicated cult following among Japanese stationery lovers who appreciate the studio's blend of modern European graphics and meticulous craftsmanship. Their paper goods are handcrafted by artisans in their Paris workshop using 100% recycled paper sourced from regional waste streams, an eco-responsible commitment that earns them the official City of Paris Fabriqué à Paris distinction year after year.
Rather than churning out permanent catalogs, Papier Tigre treats each seasonal collection as a limited, once-in-a-lifetime run. Once a pattern retires, it is gone for good. Now, distributed throughout Japan via longtime partner Quo Vadis Japan, the brand has debuted its latest seasonal capsule.

This is literally the only chance to get this limited series if you're in Japan, as this series won't be making a return
DARUMA (ダルマ): A contemporary take on the traditional tumbling doll and Japanese perseverance, drawn with striking, persistent eyes and clean graphical linework.
TOKYO (トウキョウ): A dynamic collage capturing the bustling visual frequency of the capital, with the Tokyo Tower, steam rising from onigiri, maneki-neko cats, and stylized kanji typography on display.
OKINAWA (オキナワ): Inspired by the tranquil islands of southern Japan, translating the rhythm of ocean swells, ripple reflections, and coral-sea hues into fluid undulating waves.
