Kobe’s historic Japanese stationer Nagasawa Bungu Center (ナガサワ文具センター) is expanding its culinary-themed writing instrument catalog. Following the positive reception of its deep espresso-toned "Bitter Chocolate" model, Nagasawa has officially announced the second entry in the series: the Nagasawa "Milk Chocolate" Fountain Pen alongside its companion Kobe INK Monogatari Milk Chocolate bottled ink.
The pen opens for general retail on October 16, 2026, following advance pre-orders that began on October 9 across Nagasawa brick-and-mortar stores and the official online storefront.

Where the previous Bitter Chocolate release leaned into dark cacao resin tones, the Milk Chocolate edition softens the visual palette into a warm, creamy milk-tea and dulce-de-leche colorway designed to complement tan leather planners and desktop journal accessories.
Anatomy and Specifications
Manufactured in collaboration with Sailor Pen, the instrument is built on the Sailor Professional Gear (Ringless) platform. By removing the traditional cap band ring, the silhouette takes on a modern, monolithic taper from the finial through the grip section.

Two-Tone Resin Construction: The main barrel is cast in a rich milk-chocolate brown resin, contrasted by a lighter, milky caramel resin on the gripping section, cap crown, and barrel end-plug.
Finial Insignia: Similar to Nagisawa's Bitter Chocolate series, the flat cap top is custom-stamped with a metallic gold cacao pod emblem, signaling its membership in Nagasawa's culinary suite.

Trim and Hardware: Polished gold-plated clip and trim rings that accentuate the warm brown undertones.
Large Steel Nib: Fitted with a gold-plated large stainless-steel nib engraved with Nagasawa’s iconic Kobe weathercock (風見鶏 / kazamidori) emblem, date-stamped with the company's 1882 founding year[cite: 44].

Companion Release: Kobe INK Monogatari "Milk Chocolate"
Launching concurrently is the matching Kobe INK Monogatari Special Color "Milk Chocolate" bottled ink.

Originally formulated alongside the Felissimo Chocolate Museum, the ink is a mellow, low-saturation chocolate brown with subtle rosy undertones. Formulated for wet, consistent flow across fountain pen feeds and dip nibs, it is packaged in Sailor's classic 50 ml squat glass bottle with a boxed sleeve illustrated in chocolate-bar grid embossing.
