The Pilot CON-40 is Pilot’s standard twist-piston ink converter, designed to replace disposable cartridges so you can fill your fountain pen from any bottle of ink. It pushes straight into the pen’s grip section with a firm friction fit. To fill, simply submerge the nib past the feed into your ink bottle and twist the end knob clockwise to draw ink up into the chamber. Inside the clear reservoir, small stainless steel agitator balls move freely to break surface tension. This keeps the ink from clinging to the chamber walls and ensures a steady, consistent flow to the nib as you write. It's also an essential tool for pen maintenance, letting you flush warm water through the feed for quick, mess-free cleaning between color changes.
