The Pilot CON-70N is Pilot’s updated, large-capacity fountain pen converter, designed to deliver maximum ink volume without messy refilling steps. Unlike twist-piston converters that require both hands and small incremental adjustments, the CON-70N utilizes an internal vacuum plunger mechanism operated by an easy top push button. To fill, simply insert the converter securely into your compatible Pilot fountain pen section, submerge the nib and feed past the grip rim into bottled ink, and press the top button down firmly 5 to 6 times. Each downward pump expels trapped air and creates an internal vacuum, quickly pulling ink up into its 1.1 ml reservoir, nearly triple the capacity of standard twist converters like the CON-40. The "N" generation converter has a smoother internal piston action and optimized fluid dynamics, making it easier to depress, simpler to flush clean with water, and is fully compatible with water-resistant or pigment-based inks. Note: The CON-70N ink converter may not be compatible for all Pilot fountain pens that are too narrow or short, such as the Pilot Metropolitan. The CON-70N is compatible with larger barrel pens such as the Pilot Kakuno series.
