The Uni Kuru Toga Metal is Mitsubishi Pencil’s premium line of auto-rotating mechanical pencils with a precision all-metal body. While conventional mechanical pencils wear down on one side to produce wide, fuzzy lines, the Kuru Toga engine rotates the graphite core slightly every time the tip leaves the paper, maintaining an even, conical point without you needing to rotate the pencil. Designed for tactile stability, this flagship metal edition integrates a specialized internal resin Nib Damper at the nose cone. This damper absorbs downward impact shock and suppresses tip wobble, giving the pencil a solid, grounded feel of a premium technical drafting tool. The anodized aluminum barrel features a Mild-Edge Grip, a surface treated with a blast finish and fine horizontal micro-grooves that provide a secure, non-slip hold without the harsh bite of sharp diamond knurling. The pencil's weight has also been shifted forward giving it a low center of gravity; the weight results in a balanced, fatigue-free control for long drafting, journaling, and note-taking sessions.
