TP Tomoe River FP Notebook - Hardcover – A5

368 pages of Tomoe River FP paper. Renewed with Sanzen 52 gsm Tomoe River and non-bleeding New Sub Dot Grid ruling.

The SAKAE TP Tomoe River FP Hardcover Notebook is designed as a high-capacity journal for fountain pen enthusiasts, calligraphers, and writers. Bound with 368 pages of renewed Sanzen Tomoe River 52 gsm paper, it delivers exceptional ink responsiveness in a surprisingly compact volume. Despite its featherlight weight, this specialized paper resists bleed-through and feathering under wet nibs while rendering intricate ink shading, high-sheen properties, and shimmer particles with vivid clarity. The notebook features SAKAE’s proprietary New Sub Dot Grid, an indigo 5 mm ruling engineered from microscopic sub-dots separated by minute spaces. This structure significantly reduces the surface footprint of printing ink on the sheet, preventing fountain pen nibs from skipping or repelling ink when writing strokes cross the dot markers. The subtle pattern provides unobtrusive alignment for bullet journaling, longform drafting, and creative layout work. Constructed for permanent desktop archiving, the notebook is bound in a rigid bookboard cover wrapped in textured black book cloth with a gold foil-stamped Tomoe River emblem. The lay-flat thread binding opens completely to 180 degrees from the first signature to the last, eliminating inner-margin resistance. Each notebook comes factory-fitted with a removable transparent PVC jacket to protect the textured cover from desk spills, shelf friction, and daily handling.
