TP Tomoe River FP Notebook - Softcover – A5

160 Pages of Tomoe River FP paper. Renewed with Sanzen 52 gsm Tomoe River in a slim, flexible everyday notebook.

The SAKAE TP Tomoe River FP Softcover Notebook provides the full sensory writing experience of Japan's most acclaimed fountain pen paper in an portable format. Bound with 160 pages of renewed Sanzen Tomoe River 52 gsm paper, this slim notebook gives fountain pens, rollerballs, and dip pens an exceptionally smooth canvas. Despite its gossamer thickness, the specialized 52 gsm sheets resist feathering and bleed-through while showcasing the subtle shading, complex sheen, and vivid shimmer particles of your favorite inks. The pages feature SAKAE’s proprietary New Sub Dot Grid, an unobtrusive indigo 5 mm ruling composed of microscopic sub-dots separated by minute spaces. By minimizing the amount of printing ink applied directly to the paper fibers, this layout prevents fountain pen nibs from skipping or repelling ink when crossing grid markers. The subtle dot structure offers gentle guidance for bullet journaling, sketching, and structured notes without overpowering your handwriting. Designed for flexible daily carry, the notebook features a deep black cardstock cover that bends easily into leather folios, portfolio pockets, and A5 travelers' covers. The lay-flat thread-sewn binding opens completely to 180 degrees, allowing you to write cleanly across both pages right up to the inner spine without having to fight the paper. Great for left-handed writers.
